Celebration Day At Last!

 So, Friday was it! Our morning started out early as we drove down to Los Angeles for our court date to finalize the adoption. We are very grateful for those who were able to come down with us on such a short notice (we only found out Memorial Day afternoon that Friday would be the date to finalize!). I was especially excited that my folks were able to fly down on such last minute notice too! At 1:30PM we went before the Judge for a very laid back finalization. The judge was great! He even spent a few minutes getting to know us on a personal basis too, before pronouncing us a forever family....

It's crazy, are we really drawing to close on this part of the journey? The answer is YES. It's amazing how fast the last 2 1/2 years has gone...Some stages of the adoption process have felt very slow, but the last 8 months have flown by at a record pace!....Pretty soon our little man will be graduating high school. LOL! This truly has been the best experience ever. It's been a time of growing for sure! Will we do it all over again? Absolutely! First, though, we are going to enjoy some good family time together.....Wowzers! I have a 1st birthday party to start planning....and another trip home to see family.....yikes and a family vacation! Life surely doesn't slow down.  :)
